When it is hot and humid outside, I love a nice summery cocktail to cool down. This watermelon margarita fits the bill. It is refreshing and delicious, simple to make, and low calorie. Could it get any better than that?

Start by pureeing a few cups of watermelon. I used my hand mixer with the immersion attachment. You could also use a food processor.

Watermelon Margaritas

Prep Time: 10 minutes

Cook Time: 5 minutes

Total Time: 15 minutes

Watermelon Margaritas are a great summer cocktail if you need a refreshing drink without all the calories of a fruity cocktail.

Ingredients

  • Pureed Watermelon
  • Tequila (we used Herradura, but any white tequila will work)
  • St. Germain
  • Limes

Instructions

  1. Mix together 1/3 cup of pureed watermelon, 1 shot tequila (we used herradura), and 1 shot of St. Germain.
  2. Add 1/2 of a lime, juiced.
  3. Mix together with ice.
  4. Shake and pour into a glass.

Notes

Pureed watermelon will last for a few days in the refrigerator. Just make sure to stir it well before using as the pulp has a tendency to separate from the juice.
