We’re just back from Charleston and let me tell you…reality is rough. We had a great trip full of relaxation, sun, and great food. Oh the food! More to come on that soon!

It’s hard to believe that Mother’s Day is this weekend. The holiday itself seems a little silly. I mean, just one day to devote to my Mom? My biggest fan? My constant cheerleader? The person who knows all of your traits (good and bad) and loves you anyways? The person who answers your phone calls no matter what. I mean, seriously. My mom answers no matter what she’s doing, unless of course her phone is in the bottom of her purse and she can’t hear it ringing at her. That’s rare, though. She’s always there for me.
Moms and daughters have special relationships, so no matter how you feel about your mom or your daughter, or any special women in your life, I’ve included a list of ideas for some recipes you should make this weekend, no matter how you plan on celebrating!
And, if you find yourself celebrating far away from your family, well then you should enjoy these recipes anyways because they’re A-MAZING!
Making your mom breakfast? Here are a few breakfasty ideas that every Mom would love…
These whole wheat pancakes are seriously the best I’ve ever had. Ever. Add these to every Sunday morning,
Did you say Salmon Benedict? I. am. in. I would love it if someone made this for me.
Angel food French Toast. Yes. Angel food is practically diet food.
Asparagus, Pea, Pancetta Quiche with Goat Cheese…Make it ahead and pack it for the ride over the hills and through the woods (if you can avoid snacking on it on the way)
This Cranberry Apple Compote looks to. die. for. And, bonus…it’s light so you’ll still have room for brunch later.
My Mom loves lemon and almond, so she’d flip for this Lemon Almond Bread.
Raspberry Rhubarb smoothie is so pretty! You MUST make it.
Pumpkin Craisin Muffins | Bites of Bri
Oh you’re enjoying Brunch instead? I heart brunch…It’s just late enough that you can enjoy cocktails with some really savory dishes.
Pumpkin Craisin Muffins…yes. I know my mom would LOVE these.
I need this Smoked Salmon Potato Tartine…It’s served on a huge hash brown. Need I say more?
These Scrambled Egg and Roasted Asparagus Toasts look de-luxe….but also look easy to pull off which is perfect if you’re short on time.
Cocktails, anyone? Whether you’re keeping it simple with coffees or stepping it up a notch for brunch, I’ve got you covered with some drinks your mom will love!
Starting early? These Mint Iced Coffees will be a special treat for sure.
Sparkling Strawberry Basil Limeades…your Mom will love these.
Lemon Jalapeno Spritzers are the perfect spicy, non-alcoholic treat.
Sparkling Grapefruit Sangria spells M-O-M. Yes, it does.
Pineapple Strawberry Agua Fresca…this drink will wow your Mom. So fresh!
Looking for dessert ideas? Hey, brunch can have dessert too. Every Mom needs a Mother’s Day Dessert.
I don’t know what a Buckle is, but I want this Raspberry Peach Buckle. stat.
Meyer Lemon Crepes would definitely impress your Mom and they can be made ahead of time! Bonus if you make a Crepe Buffet to please everyone!
Whatever you do, I hope you and your family have a wonderful Mother’s Day! If you can’t find me on Monday, you’ll know I’m still in a food coma 🙂
