With July 4th later this week, it’s time for the June wrap up. Here are some snapshots from June…

We celebrated Father’s Day with these cupcakes and cake pops! Yes, that’s bacon. The maple bacon cupcake tasted like a pancake. The pretzel cupcake wasn’t too bad either. (These were from Sweethearts in case you wanted to get some for yourself!)

Happy Father’s Day, Dad!

This seafood tower happened featuring lobster, shrimp, crab, oysters, and clams! Don’t worry…there were 10 of us to help.

As usual, we spent tons of time on the boat. June was unexpectedly nice with low humidity and sunshine on the weekends.

Summer beer selection part two. Part One featured Gray Lady by Cisco Brewers, Troegs Perpetual IPA (a personal fave), and some others. Part Two featured Hell or High Watermelon (tasty, though slightly bitter), Hop a Peel (orange-y…how’d you guess!?), Smutty Nose Summer Weizen (a fresh summery brew), and Harpoon Summer Beer (a delicious Kolsch- perfect for a hot summery day).

On Saturday, we hit up an old favorite…Kentmorr Restaurant. This is the scene at the beach overlooking the bay. It’s so much fun. Their tiki bar is fabulous and it’s always a great time.

We went to Kentmorr because we realized we’d been slacking on the crab front. Halfway through summer without a crabcake and a softshell? Who are we?! Hers and his…just in case you’re wondering.

A happy hour on the neighborhood bluff looking out over the Chesapeake Bay. There was a great breeze coming onshore and it was such a nice evening, until the drinks ran out!

Sunset in Annapolis. That’s it for June. Check back in July for some patriotic treats and other summery dishes perfect for weeknight meals, cookouts, and more! As always, thanks for stopping by!

That’s a nice wrap up! I just need to be invited next time. Those cupcakes look incredible, the seafood platter. Good for you. Laura and I are sitting at Lake Ontario right now trying to get a little R and R as well.

Wow I’m totally jealous of your June! First of all the cupcakes, Yummy! Then I stared at that picture of the beach and was imaging myself taking a nap in that hammock, ugh that sounds so lovely right now. Hope your July is equally as fabulous!
