It’s Friday! I have to say that the upcoming weekend is going to be unusually relaxed and I’m pretty excited about it. This edition of Bites and Bits is dedicated to recipes for Valentine’s Day. What are your Valentine’s plans this year?! Tell me about any traditions and plans you have.

Easy Tomato Meatballs over Polenta wins out for our Valentine’s Day menu this year. We always eat in so we can stay in our comfies and chill out with wine near the fireplace. This recipe will be joining us. I’ve only been thinking about it all week.

You need these Blood Orange Bourbon Cocktails for your Valentine’s Day. The Blood Oranges are amazing right now and I’ve seen them at all grocery stores. Citrus may just be winter’s redeeming quality. Agreed?

If my husband saw this version of Surf and Turf, he’d be licking the computer screen and I have to admit it looks amazing to me too. Those lobster tails? I wish we lived in New England except maybe not this time of year… :)

Is Friday night your family’s pizza night? Make this fun spicy Brussels Sprout Thai Chicken Pizza for the adults. And promptly deliver one to me too. Got it?

Turtle Brownie Ice Cream Sundaes sound absolutely mouthwatering. Plus, you can make this recipe gluten-free! I don’t know what it is about brownie sundaes that always catches my attention. I love them.

Flourless Chocolate Almond Cake

This Flourless Chocolate Almond Cake…drool! No flour means I can feel good about this one, even if I uncontrollably eat the whole thing 😉 Can you tell I’m dying for some chocolate? Someone send help (or chocolate)!

No matter what you do this weekend, I hope you have a fabulous weekend. Stay warm out there!

Nice collection, Bri! I want the surf and turf and that cool purple Dutch oven! Oh yeah, and a couple of those blood orange bourbon cocktails — just send me one of everything!
