My name is Briana, though I really go by Bri (like the cheese). I am a food obsessed working girl with a need to document all of my kitchen adventures. Bites of Bri is an attempt to share delicious recipes with family, friends, and friends I haven’t met yet.
During the day, I am in charge of real estate and development for a retail chain with 50 locations.
Outside of the hours of 9-5, I am often thinking about or dreaming of food. Seriously…I am always thinking about my next meal. I look forward to cooking dinner each evening and often spend time outside of work preparing dishes for friends and family. And, I love to play host especially on holidays.
I love pasta, vegetables, seafood, and local ingredients. Confession: I often cook with a glass of wine in hand.
Some of my favorite things include running, boating, spending time with friends and family, and perusing the local farmer’s markets. I love to run, spring and fall preferably, though I do suffer through during the hot and humid Maryland summers. I have a small vegetable garden that makes me so happy, that is, when it isn’t being attacked by deer. It is a constant battle, so I often supplement the garden’s production with trips to the farmer’s market.
I live in Annapolis, Maryland with my husband, Ben, who over the years has become an excellent
guinea pig taste tester. He is also extremely proficient at cleanup, something I love and appreciate so much because I like to use a lot of dishes when I cook and I sometimes make a really big mess.
Ben is unique in that he has different “compartments” in his stomach, and according to him, there’s always room in the bread, cheese, and dessert compartments. Amazing. I’ll bet you didn’t know that was possible.
